A newsletter for rural women and their families
The Country Web newsletter is produced by the Department of Primary Industries Rural Women's Network. The newsletter is a source of information and support for women dealing with the many aspects of rural life. Through the newsletter women are able to share ideas, issues, inspiration, information, experiences and opportunities.
Each edition of The Country Web focuses on a particular issue, with past editions highlighting: women of influence, women in non-traditional roles, farming, droughts and floods, getting back to basics, celebrating creativity, perception verses reality, my heart-my country, family, health, education, work and employment, finance, value adding, women in decision making, the law, isolation, the environment and much more.
As well as issues based articles, the newsletter also provides regular columns including women's leadership, communities in focus, men's matters, parenting, health, grants and funding, resources and what's on and what's new.
Now in its 23rd year of publication, The Country Web is well established and recognised by the wider community. It has become a valuable resource for government and non-government agencies to exchange information with the rural sector.
The Country Web is now published annually with 12,000 copies printed and distributed free to our readers.
The 2017 annual issue of The Country Web will explore the theme 'Connect and Collaborate'. We want to hear from you about creating meaningful connections, mentoring and sharing wisdom, books and people that have inspired you.
Contributions are required by 21 April 2017 for publication in August 2017.
