Patricia joined NSW DPI in 2011 as a Graduate Officer after completing a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience with Honours at the University of Sydney in 2010. In her role as a Graduate Officer she worked on extension and research projects in pasture, soil nutrient use efficiency and animal nutrition areas. In 2012, she conducted research looking at the livestock feed value of Australian native legumes.
Since 2013, Patricia has worked as a Development Officer in the Beef Industries Unit in Wagga Wagga. As a Development Officer, Patricia has been involved with developing the NSW DPI Drought Feed Calculator phone application, developing research projects examining the effect of dietary omega-3 on sex ratios of livestock and investigating the omega-3 content in Australian pasture species.
Patricia is currently coordinating a southern NSW producer group as part of a pasture fed beef project with JBS Australia and Agriculture Victoria and is one of a team of Development Officers who have been running a monthly webinar series for the Livestock Systems Branch.
