The Oil Testing Service (OTS) located at the Wagga Wagga Agricultural Institute (WWAI), Australia, offers a comprehensive commercial laboratory testing service for the analysis of olive oil, olive fruit, oilseeds and edible oils. The OTS is able to undertake competitively priced testing with a prompt turn-around time.
The service is based on the latest technology and requirements of national and international standards including those set by the International Olive Council (IOC), American Oil Chemists Society (AOCS) and the Australian Oilseeds Federation (AOF).
The OTS chemical testing laboratory and olive oil organoleptic (sensory) panel are accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) and the International Olive Council (IOC). The OTS has the only IOC accredited Sensory Laboratory in Australia. The IOC Period of Recognition is from 1st December 2015 to 30th November 2016. The laboratory also provides all testing requirements in determining if olive oil meets the Australian Standard AS5264-2011 as well as export standards for China and the United States.
