Obtaining a copy of the Department of Primary Industries logo
The DPI logo should not be used for any purpose without written permission. In certain circumstances, for example where organisations are involved in joint projects or DPI is providing project funding, permission may be given to use the logo for signage, publications, websites or other applications.
To obtain a copy of the logo send a request to dpi.communications@dpi.nsw.gov.au giving the following information:
- your name, contact details and a brief overview of project, event or publication
- all intended uses of the logo, for example signage, publication, website
- the contact officer, that is, the primary contact for the project you are involved in
- preferred file format – tif, jpeg, eps, etc.
Guidelines for using the DPI logo will be supplied with the electronic file.
Scholarships
The department provides specific scholarship opportunities to support knowledge and research relating to primary industries.
Farrer Memorial Travelling Scholarship
The Farrer Memorial Travelling Scholarship supports overseas travel to attend an international conference at which a paper or poster is being presented. Applicants must be postgraduate students enrolled for a PhD on any aspect of field crop research.

Peter Cullen Postgraduate Scholarship
The NSW Government has developed a postgraduate scholarship in honour of the late Professor Peter Cullen AO FTSE.
The program is jointly funded by various NSW Government water agencies, including the NSW Office of Water, Sydney Catchment Authority, State Water, Hunter Water and Sydney Water. The aim of the scholarship is to:
- improve our understanding of how rivers, groundwater, wetlands and estuaries function and respond to enhanced management
- improve the linkages between aquatic science and water management in NSW
- provide research opportunities in NSW for water specialists.
