Filming at NSW DPI locations

The Department of Primary Industries is supportive of the screen industry.  We will endeavour to provide access to locations managed by the department for filming where possible in accordance with the government’s Making NSW Film Friendly policy.
NSW DPI managed locations include:

  • Crown reserves
  • state forests
  • agricultural research facilities.

Locations will be available for film makers, where possible, taking into account public amenity, safety, security and other operational requirements. Where filming access, services or approvals cannot reasonably be given, we will endeavour to suggest alternate locations.  Fees may be payable on a cost recovery basis, consistent with Productivity Commission guidelines.  Fees will recover only salaries and on-costs, operating expenses and overheads.

For more information for filming on DPI or Crown land, contact Tom Braz on 02 6391 3579
or email: tom.braz@dpi.nsw.gov.au

Additional information is available at Screen NSW (www.screen.nsw.gov.au).
