The Media and Communications Branch plays an active role in promoting the NSW Department of Primary Industries through the print and electronic media. The Branch's staff are located across the state, and act as contact points for journalists.
The key role of the Branch is to liaise with the local, state and national media to ensure that:
- the Department's achievements are publicised;
- timely information is distributed widely through the media.
The Branch also produces a monthly newspaper, Agriculture Today.
