Ropes course a winner
From the Autumn/Winter 2010 edition of Bush Telegraph Magazine.
It is just one year old, not even down out of the trees and already it is a medal winner in the 2009 NSW Tourism Awards.
It is TreeTop Adventure Park in Ourimbah State Forest, lying west of the F3 freeway just north of Gosford.
The adventure playground which sees participants roping through the tops of trees, on climbing walls, flying foxes and other ropes and platforms won the bronze medal for new tourism development.
The 76 challenges the park offers cater for people from the age of three to 73 and beyond if you’re game, with varying courses to suit the agile and not so agile.
Created in 1998 by Ecoline, the first company building treetop rope courses in Australia, Treetop Adventure Park is Australian-owned and operated.
The ethos of the company is to develop exciting projects, work towards the protection of the environment and participate in the community’s well being.
The courses have proved so popular that bookings are essential to ensure the whole family has a great time in the treetops.
The park can accommodate groups with 20 people able to use the course at the same time, with others able to discover the educational paths while waiting to start their session.
