New webpages for schools
From the Winter 2007 edition of Bush Telegraph Magazine.
Information about NSW Department of Primary Industries programs, products and services for schools can now be found on-line in a one-stop web shop.
The new webpages link students and teachers with face-to-face programs, classroom resources, professional development opportunities, events, careers information and on-line games.
Teachers can download activity sheets, find out about farm and forest excursions, register for professional development courses and access support services.
Students can download pictures for assignments, find out about the many and diverse career opportunities in primary industries and play on-line interactive games.
There is something for everyone from pre-school teachers to secondary teachers of subjects such as Industrial Technology and Agriculture through to students wanting to know the best way to care for pet fish.
The web pages are set to grow as NSW DPI develops more resources and services for schools. Explore the new web pages at www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/education/schools. Suggestions for additions can be emailed to carmen.perry@dpi.nsw.gov.au.
