Deadline extended to Monday for 2009 Farmer award applicants
Farmers interested in becoming this year’s Farmer or Young Farmer of the Year are encouraged to get their entries in quickly, with only days left to apply.
The deadline for this year’s Awards - which are designed to acknowledge excellence in agriculture and are open to all farmers in NSW - has been extended to 5pm, Monday 15 June.
The Farmer and Young Farmer entrants will be judged on their farm and financial management, innovation and community leadership.
The Young Farmer of the Year Award is open to farmers aged 16-35 years and the Farmer of the Year Award to all farmers aged over 35 years. The winning Young Farmer entrant will take home $5,000; while the winning Farmer entrant will receive $10,000.
