Kicking goals at Walbundrie farm family and footy gathering
A Farm Family Gathering will be held at Walbundrie Football Ground next Saturday following the Rand-Walbundrie Tiger versus Osborne Hume Football League match.
NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) Southern Riverina drought support worker, Don Burrowes, said a barbeque, entertainment and a brief drought support update would be provided after the match for drought affected families.
"Larrikin singer and songwriter, Pete Denahy, who recently shot to fame with his song Sort of Dunno Nothing that typifies a conversation between a teenager and his father, will supply the entertainment," Mr Burrowes said.
"I will provide an update on changes to Exceptional Circumstances assistance and will have copies available of the DPI drought assistance guide for the local area.
"Rural resources information, including mental health and rural financial counselling will also be available at the gathering.
"Rotary is catering for the barbeque and we are asking for a gold coin donation."
The ‘Kicking Goals’ farm family and footy gathering will be held at Walbundrie Football Ground on Saturday 20 June from 5.00 pm.
