This video is an introduction to jojoba and the environmental benefits of growing jojoba. Jojoba is deep-rooted, perennial and evergreen, and is native to southern USA and northern Mexico. It produces seed and oil which are both marketable.

The requirements and characteristics of jojoba outlined in the video include:

  • land preparation required;
  • the time to plant;
  • care after planting;
  • nutrient requirement;
  • weed tolerance;
  • varieties - tested and recommended;
  • spray drift;
  • drought and salt tolerance;
  • plant matures in 10-12 years.
