- head, body and testicle size;
- correct conformation - angles, legs, back, shoulders;
- how the bull walks away from you, towards you, and past you;
- the bull's willingness to serve the cow;
- whether there are any foot problems which may be caused by underlying ailments.
By carefully assessing and using the information given, you should be able to find a sire which will improve your overall herd, for example in the following characteristics:
- growth rate;
- calving ease and maternal attributes, such as milk production;
- carcase attributes.
