Building our organisation
The NSW Department of Primary Industries (NSW DPI) was formed in July 2004 with the amalgamation of Mineral Resources NSW, NSW Agriculture, NSW Fisheries and State Forests NSW. The Department was established to give rural and regional NSW a stronger voice in government and to better support primary industries in NSW.
