Forests NSW Recreation and Tourism Policy 2010-2014
Forests NSW has an important role in providing recreation and tourism opportunities to the community of NSW. This policy replaces the "Living, working, playing…forests 2005-2009" which was a combined policy, strategy, framework and action plan to address recreation, sport, tourism and training on State Forest.
Forests NSW commands a unique place in the recreation and tourism market and this policy sets a vision, goals and principles to be adopted in the provision of these opportunities and services with a view to optimising the management of this integral part of the core business of the organisation.
This policy is applicable to all Business Units who are involved in the provision of recreation and/or tourism activities and services on State Forest. It applies to both regional and corporate levels of service provision.
