Drought transport subsidies

New South Wales Department of Primary Industries will rebate 50% of the transport costs for movements of:

  • water for domestic use
  • water and fodder for stock
  • stock to and from agistment
  • stock to sale/slaughter.

The drought transport subsidies for livestock help ensure animal welfare for drought-affected stock by assisting farmers with the cost of transporting water, fodder and stock to agistment or sale/slaughter. The subsidies are not for production purposes.

These rebates apply to primary producers in a drought-affected area of New South Wales, subject to eligibility criteria. Eligibility criteria are provided for each rebate application form.
