Managing Drought guide, 2006

Cover of 'Managing drought'
Released/reviewed: Dec 2006

The 6th edition of Managing drought has been prepared to assist the state's farmers in making financial and management decisions which will see them through this extended dry period. This updated publication is designed to act as a management tool for farmers - it is not intended to be a complete manual on running the farm during drought. (Further information is available from the NSW DPI website, NSW DPI offices, and through the drought hotline on 1800 814 647.)

Managing drought includes a range of important information regarding short and long-term planning, managing and feeding livestock, caring for the land, the protection of plant and animal health, and key services and assistance.

This sixth edition includes an updated 'Drought planning' section, which is also available as a separate publication (see Primefact 342 Drought planning, 2nd edition)
