Before feeding any drought fodder to stock, you should ensure that it is free of residues and weed seeds. Animals which test positive for chemical residues at slaughter will be rejected. NSW Department of Primary Industries advises that an independent nutritional analysis be sought to help determine the real nutritional value of drought fodder prior to use.
