Canola, sunflower and other oilseeds
Canola is the most important oilseed crop in the dryland farming systems of central and southern NSW. Other oilseeds grown in NSW include soybeans, sunflower, olives and mustard. Oil is also produced from the leaves of Eucalyptus trees such as tea tree.
NSW DPI's role is to provide support to the oilseed industry through the provision of extension and research services, diagnostic laboratories, publications, farming courses and regulatory services.
