Lupin, chickpea and other pulses

Pulse crops grown in NSW include lupins, field peas, chickpeas, mungbeans and faba beans. Different pulse crops have very specific requirements of soil type, place in rotation and sowing time to be successfully grown. Pulse production can be made a great deal more reliable and profitable by adopting industry best management practices.

NSW DPI's role is to provide support to the pulse crop industry through the provision of extension and research services, diagnostic laboratories, publications, farming courses and regulatory services.
