Pulse point number: 12 Edition: First edition Released/reviewed: 01 Apr 2001
Faba bean seed is larger than the more familiar narrow-leafed lupin seed and varies greatly in size. The size and the shape can cause a number of 'blockage' problems with seeding equipment. The result is poor establishment and yield.
This Pulse point includes information on the following:
- Seed metering mechanisms
- Airseeder distributors
- Sowing tubes on combines
- Seeding boots
- Inoculated seed
- Seed handling equipment.
