Encroachment of unpalatable invasive native scrub (INS) is a major problem facing landholders in the semi-arid rangelands of New South Wales.
This has been recognised by officers from various government departments and by landholders who in many cases have seen ‘open’ paddocks become unmanageable and ‘scrubby’ in 10 to 15 years.
