Name:

Digit grass (Digitaria eriantha ssp eriantha)

Description:

Spring and summer-growing perennial, suited to a wide range of soil types from the lower fertility, lighter-medium, medium to heavier textured soils, however it performs best on the light to medium soil types. Good drought tolerance; poor waterlogging tolerance. Very palatable, some frost tolerance, persistent.

Sowing rate: 1-2 kg/ha.
Minimum average
annual rainfall
(summer dominant) 400 mm.
Variety: Premier (Public variety) Lummis
