Diagnostic and Analytical Services: olive oil testing
NSW DPI operates an Olive Oil Testing Service based at Wagga Wagga, which aims to provide practical solutions for growers and processors in this fast-growing industry. The service is based on the latest technology and requirements of the International Olive Council (IOC).
Our chemical testing is accredited by National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) and the IOC; our organoleptic panel is accredited by NATA. We also participate in proficiency tests conducted by international organisations such as the IOC and the American Oil Chemists Society (AOCS).

The laboratory offers a large range of tests which are available separately or in convenient packages:
Quality packages
The following quality packages are available (prices current as at 1 September 2007, for a single sample):
