Description |
Leaf: medium large, upfolded with slightly wavy edges, shiny, pubescent when young. Shape: ovate, roundish, tip mucronate, base truncate. Margin: often lobed or misshapen, coarsely or acutely serrate. Stipules: small, narrow, inconspicuous. Shoot: two-year wood dull red brown. | |

Propagation | Produces well in stool beds. | |
Resistance | Collar rot and woolly aphid resistant. | |
Uses | Adapted to heavy soils with few losses from collar rot. Well anchored. Used in USA for spur-type varieties, and in replant land. Very productive stock. Can be used with precocious new varieties (for example, Fuji, Gala, Pink Lady) on shallow, less fertile, soils. | |
