Origin: Chance seedling in Granny Smith’s backyard at Eastwood, NSW, Australia, prior to 1868 when fruiting.
Tree: Vigorous, upright.
Disease status: Susceptible to mildew.
Chilling requirement: Medium high.

Mid season.
Delicious, Jonathan.
Fruit shape: Large tall conical.
Skin and
flesh:
Green; at late harvest will be yellow and greasy.
Crisp, juicy and sweet flesh; excellent flavour.
Harvest and
yield:
Mid April to May.
Heavy yield; bears on one-year wood.
Storage: Long, susceptible to scald.
