Cucurbit vegetables include cucumbers, zucchini, pumpkins, squash, watermelons, cantaloupes, bitter melons, gourds, and hairy melons.

Cucurbits are warm weather crops which are grown in most frost free areas of Australia. Wherever cucurbits are grown pests can cause damage.

This Primefact outlines the pests that commonly affect cucurbit production. Most of the insect pests listed can affect other crops as well, although some insect pests are specific to cucurbits.
