Description

Improvements to biological control systems and the development of biorational chemicals for IPM in the greenhouse vegetable industry

Activities

Identify beneficials for some targeted pest species, for development as commercially available biocontrol agents.

Provide information on the side effects of chemicals on some commercially available biocontrol agents.

Evaluate new safe chemicals for their effectiveness against target pests and their selectivity to biocontrol agents.

Evaluate fungal entomopathogens for suitability as insecticides against key pests of greenhouse crops.
