Animal Welfare Code of Practice - Breeding dogs and cats

Breeding dogs and cats code of practice - cover

This Code outlines the principles that everyone involved in the business of breeding dogs and cats must use to protect the welfare of the animals in their care.

Dog and cat breeders in NSW will be expected to conduct themselves in accordance with this Code of Practice and thus demonstrate their commitment and concern for the welfare of the animals in their care.

This Code has been prepared in consultation with Dogs NSW, Waratah National Cat Alliance, RSPCA NSW, the Animal Welfare League NSW, and other people and organisations involved in the industry. It is also endorsed by the NSW Animal Welfare Advisory Council.
