Tick fever vaccination in NSW
Primefact Number: 219 Edition: Fourth edition Released/reviewed: Jan 2010
The vaccination of cattle with tick fever vaccine in NSW is controlled by Clause 69 of the Stock Diseases Regulation 2009 at www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/aboutus/about/legislation-acts/stock-diseases.
The regulation permits the vaccination of stock intended for export from the state.
It is no longer a requirement that the stock be vaccinated in the weeks just prior to export.
This change allows you to vaccinate your cattle as weaners, which is the preferred age for vaccination.
There is still a requirement for prior authorisation, which can be granted by the officers listed in this Primefact.
