NSW Sheep Industry Fund application for project funding  280.5 KB

The OJD Industry Fund was originally established to assist producers who were affected by OJD. Funds were collected through the Transaction-based Contribution Scheme, via a levy on sheep sales. The scheme has been wound up and the Minister for Primary Industries has:

  • directed that the NSW Rural Assistance Authority act as the trustee for these remaining funds, and the remaining funds be applied for the benefit of the sheep industry;
  • established an advisory committee, the Sheep Advisory Group, to provide him with advice on proposals for the use of these funds.

To better reflect the 2008 Ministerial Order that funds be directed to projects which benefit the sheep industry, the fund has been renamed the NSW Sheep Industry Fund.
