Equine influenza information for vets
Veterinary practitioners undertaking work at the request of the NSW DPI will be paid by the NSW DPI.
Where a practitioner is requested by an owner to examine a horse suspected of having equine influenza, the practitioner should first contact NSW DPI via the EI hotline 1800 675 888 and be allocated a Task Request Number.
Investigations carried out without a Task Request Number will not be paid for by NSW DPI.
