Recycled cooking oils - their use in pig feed

Vegetable oil and tallow are often used as both an energy source in pig diets and as a means of suppressing dust levels in the feed.

Sometimes the oil and tallow used is recycled product from deep fryers located in restaurants and food industry outlets.

With the increasing demand for traceability and quality assurance in food supply chains it is important that farmers obtain their recycled cooking oils from reliable sources.
