Improving automatic jetting races

agnote icon
Series: Agnote DAI-199  Edition: Second edition  Last updated: Aug 2003

In 1988 work at Trangie demonstrated a need to improve automatic jetting races (AJRs). In 1992 the Kondinin Group surveyed a number of sheep jetting races. This work also showed that they were less effective than hand jetting. Subsequently a project was undertaken to improve the performance of AJRs.

This Agnote reports the general principles for effective jetting. It includes diagrams of jetting equipment and a table with information about nozzle dimensions.
