The videos 'Efficient sheep yard design' (produced in 1989) and 'Modern shearing shed design' (produced in 1987) have been combined into one video. It explains how, by using the sheep's natural movement, you can create a feasible environment to work with the animals.

The sheep yard section includes information on:

• site preparation and choice, including location, trees (shade, lightning), water requirements etc.;
• size requirement, holding yards and mini-paddocks;
• draft race, or working double race;
• circular or rectangular design, and materials/components to use in construction, including gates and gate catches.

The shearing shed section includes information on:

• site preparation, including location, drainage, power source, lighting etc.;
• size of the shed according to flock size and duration of shearing time;
• board construction and materials;
• gates and catches;
• shutes, stands, and catching and count-out pens;
• grinder positioning;
• the lunch room, wool room and wool table.
