Trophy White clover

Summary

White clover (Trifolium repens L.) is a warm season perennial legume but sensitivity to summer moisture stress is the major factor limiting its persistence in dryland environments in NSW.

A national breeding program, run by NSW DPI and based at Glen Innes began in 1990.

The first white clover cultivar developed in this program is ‘Trophy’.
