| Description: | Year long green perennial grass that produces high quality forage. Spreads by seed and short rhizomes. Adapted to higher rainfall areas of Tablelands and alps throughout NSW. Suited to a wide range of soils, but is best on loams. Seed is best sown between 1 and 2 cm deep at 3 to 5 kg/ha when soil moisture can be guaranteed following sowing. Seedling growth rate is slow for first 6 months.
