By providing a step-by-step description of each technique, it will be possible to standardise many monitoring programs and make valid comparisons of abundance and damage across the nation.

This is becoming increasingly important for the states, territories and the Australian government, to help evaluate and prioritise natural resource management investments.

Species involved in this series of manuals include mice, rabbits, feral cats, feral goats, feral pigs, wild dogs and foxes.
