Annual ragweed

Annual ragweed

Annual ragweed

Ambrosia artemisiifolia

Annual ragweed is an introduced weed from North America that invades roadsides, wastelands and poor or overgrazed pastures. The pollen from this plant is a major cause of hay fever and can aggravate asthma. Contact with the plant can also cause skin allergies.

Infestations can be minimised by maintaining healthy, dense pastures.
