Name: Introduction to organic farming
Description: This course is designed for property owners interested in growing produce organically.
Cost: After NSW Government subsidy, $280 incl. GST.
Course aims:

This course aims to provide participants with a general understanding of growing organic produce.

Learning outcomes:

On completion of the course participants will be able to:

  •  Prepare their property for conversion to organic production
  • Describe the rules of organic production
  • Identify the importance of disease management
  • Accreditation by organic organisations
  • Identify the markets for organic produce
Length: One day

  • Overview of the industry
  • Quality control
  • Preparing your property for organic production
  • Marketing your produce
Resources and method of delivery:

This course is mainly delivered indoors.
Participants will be provided with course notes.

Accreditation: This is a non- accredited course.
