Name: Dairy people focus groups - three day course
Description: This three day workshop will provide dairy farmers with the opportunity to determine the key issues for there farm and develop an action plan for improving productivity, people retention and become an employer of first choice.
Cost: After NSW Government subsidy $250 GST incl.
Course aims:
  • Engage farmers in groups and workshops in conversations about the people issues on their farms.
  • Create farmer action plans to improve on current situation.
Learning outcomes:
  • Develop a farm action plan for people
  • Improve coordination and direction of staff.
  • Able to guide staff, facilitate staff discussions and provide constructive evaluation of staff members in meeting performance targets.
  • Develop a people plan and roster
  • Recruit an induct people owners and employers know how to implement changes to farm practices related to dealing with people
Length: A 3 day course with a further requirement to complete project and on the job assessment work to meet requirements of competencies.

  • Where do I want to be?
  • Managing people to their potential.
Resources and method of delivery: Participants are provided with course notes.

This course is delivered using indoor instruction.

Accreditation: This course has been mapped to the national unit of competency RTE5807A Manage staff.
