Name:	Forklift licence preparation
Description:	A course to prepare participants for assessment for a WorkCover forklift licence.
Cost:	After NSW Government subsidy, $355 GST-free. Includes vehicle supply and PPE.
Course aims:	Follow OHS procedures and effectively manage hazards. Conduct routine checks and follow correct procedures. Operate forklift and shift loads safely and efficiently.
Learning outcomes:	Check forklift condition. Drive a forklift safely and efficiently. Operate according to site conditions. Monitor and maintain forklift performance.

Course program/structure:	Design of forklifts and SWL requirements Pre-operational checks Safe operation of forklifts Lifting loads and calculations required Using attachments and slinging loads Operate forklifts and shift loads
Resources and method of delivery:	Participants receive course training materials. This course is delivered using indoor and outdoor instruction.
Accreditation:	This course is mapped to the national unit of competency TDTD1097A - Operate a forklift.
