Name: Property-to-property transfer - National Livestock Identification System (NLIS)
Description: This course suits stock agents, saleyard operators, Rural Lands Protection Board rangers, NSW DPI regulatory staff, transport operators and cattle producers.
Cost: Price $15 GST-free (while industry funding available; normally $210).
Course aims:
  • Raise awareness of NLIS as a means collecting and storing accurate cattle movements
  • Promote skills in accurate data collection
  • Promote skills in accurate data transfer
  • Provide accurate information to third party clients
Learning outcomes: At the conclusion of this training, those attending should be able to:
  • Use reader to collect electronic tag numbers
  • Download electronic data using appropriate software
  • Open third party account
  • Transfer data to MLA database
  • Provide accurate information to clients regarding transfer

Accreditation: This course is mapped to the following national unit of competency, RTE3907A - Use a hand held e-business tool.
