Name:	Manage staff
Description:	This course is focused on how a farm business can develop a positive workplace culture that is characterised by vision, values and effective communication.
Cost:	$285
Course aims:	This subject covers the work required to manage staff, especially in relation to a rural enterprise. It applies skills and knowledge to recruiting, inducting, communicating and training employees. There is an emphasis in the course on following legislation and complying with OHS requirement.
Learning outcomes:	Prepare task descriptions and person specifications Manage workforce performance Support workforce training programs Manage administration support Implement OHS priorities and procedures
Length:	Approximately 8 weeks. This includes assessment.
Course program/structure:	There are five topics in this subject: Introduction and principles Attracting and engaging people Negotiating working arrangements Building sound and productive working relationships Creating and implementing policies and procedures
