| Length: | 4, ½ Day sessions |
| Course program/structure: | Session 1: Germination - discussing germination and sowing. Held during the pre-season. Session 2: Vegetative growth - looking at biomass production, root development, grazing. Session 3: Reproductive growth - held at flowering discussing maturity, the process of flowering and topdressing, Section 4: Grain development - discussing the timing of grain-filling, assimilate supply and yield components. |
| Resources and method of delivery: | Participants receive course notes as well as a copy of Procrop Barley and Development. Mix of presentation and practical session in the paddock. |
