Name: Photography for fieldwork
Description:

This course covers the fundamentals of digital photography. It teaches users to understand the functions and settings of their cameras.

An overview of equipment and accessories is provided to help students match the right equipment for their needs. The course covers the basic principles of photography and how to get the best results in different conditions.

The course also focuses on the challenges and techniques of photography for fieldwork including: plants, animals, photo-points and photos for evidence. It also covers using photos for project monitoring and reporting. No previous experience is required.

Cost: $350 (GST incl.)
Course aims:

To increase the skills of learners to understand photography, their equipment and produce quality photos in fieldwork.

Learning outcomes:
  1. Understanding of the principles of photography
  2. Increased skills in using cameras and equipment
  3. Understanding techniques in fieldwork photography
Length: Full day - 8 hours
Course program/structure:

Face to face instruction with guided activities. Participants bring their own camera and camera manual to the course.

Resources and method of delivery: Participants receive a full colour course manual.

This course is delivered using a mix of indoor and outdoor activities.

Accreditation: This course is non accredited.
