Name: Rural Office - Setting up a records system
Description: A course designed for small farm business owners and farmers who seek training in office administration and procedures.
Cost: After NSW Government subsidy $285 GST free.
Course aims: To assist participants to establish effective record keeping systems and develop skills in record management.
Learning outcomes:
  • Organise a small rural office.
  • Identify the nature, detail and format of records.
  • Develop procedures for storage, location and retrieval of records.
  • Develop systems for maintaining, disposal and updating of records.
  • Develop business rules and procedures to support the operation of the business.
Length: One day

  • Why do we need to keep records?
  • Characteristics of an efficient office.
  • What records and reports does your business need?
  • Records required for your business, the storage system.
  • Timely operations for accuracy and use of records.
Resources and method of delivery: Participants receive course notes and manual.

This course is delivered using indoor instruction.

Accreditation: This course has been mapped to the national unit of competency BRBRKG403A Set up a business or records system for a small office.
