Name: Shaping our futures together (SOFT)
Description: A leadership course for women living in rural, regional and remote areas.
Cost: $255 GST-free.
Course aim: This course assists women living in rural communities to develop their leadership and networking skills.
Learning outcomes:
  • Feel more confident about your abilities, experience and skills.
  • Communicate more effectively with others.
  • Develop effective goals, visions and personal action plans.
  • Understand how to identify, develop and maintain networks to achieve goals.

  • Building self-esteem
  • Presenting to a group
  • Visualisation
  • Journaling
  • Identifying 'shoulds' and values
  • Managing time
  • Assertiveness and effective communication
  • Managing change
  • Visioning
  • Writing SMART goals
  • Mindmapping and action planning
  • Reflecting
  • How to network effectively
Resources and method of delivery: Participants are provided with a course manual.

The course is delivered indoors.

Length: 2 days (14 hours)
Accreditation: This course is mapped to the national unit of competency, AHCCCF416A - Present proposed courses of action to meeting.
