Stock Safe - safe responsible livestock handling - PROfarm course

• To improve the handling skills of those working with livestock
• To reduce the risk of injury to those working with livestock
• To raise the awareness of animal welfare as an issue of public concern

• Determine actions and work practices that minimise risks in cattle handling work
• Identify cattle welfare issues and promote cattle health and wellbeing
• Effectively move, draft and control livestock using basic methods

This practical workshop is delivered using a mixture of both indoor and outdoor based instruction. Yard and paddock demonstrations are followed by hands on exercises including moving and handling cattle and sheep in yards and in the paddock.
