cover imageThe information in this publication is based on the research findings from GRDC project CSP291: Optimising crop performance through innovative phase farming systems - new approaches to improve the nitrogen supply and management of hydrological balance for crops in wet environments. It also includes information from GRDC projects CSP216, CSP271 and CSP343.

Contents include information on sodic soils, gypsum, lime, crop yields, EC and ESP measures, salinity and sodicity, plant-available soil water, the best pasture mixes, soil compaction, wheel track compaction, 'dewatering' the soil profile with lucerne, soil mineral nitrogen, soil nitrate profiles and management guidelines.
