Irrigation and drainage management plans
An irrigation and drainage management plan (IDMP) is made up of the following components:
- a written report
- a base map or plan of the enterprise
- several plans, overlays or maps that show different parts of the irrigated enterprise and how they relate.
- meet consumers' demand for food at low prices
- meet market specifications
- provide financiers with a return on investment
- adapt to water reforms from government policies and regulation
The Guidelines contain detailed steps to assist a manager to develop their own IDMP.
